On April 4, 2026, Elisabeth Hendrika Dewitt (née Van Dasselaar) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the age of 84.
She was the beloved wife of Derk, her husband of nearly 65 years; and a loving mother to Carolyn (Wayne) Versteeg, Rob (Annie) Dewitt, MaryAnn (Blake t) Termeer, Doug (Juliette) Dewitt, Cor (Danielle) Dewitt, and Derek (Judith) Dewitt. She was a cherished Oma to 34 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at home with her Saviour.
Funeral service will be held at Redeemer Canadian Reformed Church in Winnipeg, 15 Bates Avenue, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment will occur earlier that day in a private family service.
